Here are our class responses to this week's poll: How do you communicate/publish online? Looks like we don't have many gamers in the group. But there's a lot of experience in this class. Thanks for playing.
The results to this survey aren't very surprising- but I am surprised less people chose "online gaming". I guess it is because this is mainly a girl class. Very interesting though. Also surprised Twitter was almost the same amount of people as Blogging. I thought Twitter would be in the 100%.
It's nice seeing that I line up fairly well with my classmates when it comes to how we communicate online. The things that I use the most are email, social networking, picture sharing and video chat, and that seems to be true across the board for this class. I also am not much of a gamer, but it's nice to see that we have a few in the class! It's always refreshing to get different perspectives and we'll probably all end up learning a thing or two from them.
I'm just happy to see you all use e-mail! My understand of "you young folk" is that e-mail is passe until you enter the business world, where it is the main form of communication.
Good point about perspective from gamers. I think we will find that everyone in this class has perspectives that will benefit us that may not be revealed in the survey.

ReplyDeleteGood observations Sophie. It's interesting that we associate gaming with males. I wonder if this unbalance is confirmed by research.
